    MR GEOFFREY NEWMAN - CHAIRMAN (B.Ec (Hons), M.B.A., F.C.P.A, F.A.I.C.D.)

    Mr. Newman has over 27 years’ experience in finance, marketing and general management roles in organisations either directly involved in the resources sector or providing services and products to businesses in that sector. In 1995, after managing Bunnings Pulpwood operations for a number of years, he joined Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd as Commercial Manager and then was appointed to the Board as Finance Director in the following year. Until August 2005 he was Finance Director/Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of both Coogee Chemicals and its oil and gas subsidiary Coogee Resources Pty Ltd before he retired from the Coogee Group at the end of June 2006.

    MR TIMOTHY MARTIN - NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (B.A, M.B.A, G.M.A.I.C.D.)

    Mr. Martin has been an Executive Manager at Coogee Chemicals Pty Ltd since 2005, held the position of Managing Director from 2012 – 2015 and was appointed Executive Chairman in July 2015. Prior to working at Coogee, Mr. Martin worked in management roles within the packaged food manufacturing sector supplying to national supermarket chains, and has ongoing interests in commercial property development.

    MR CADELL BUSS - INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR (M.B.A, M.P.M, G.A.I.C.D.)

    Mr. Buss has extensive experience in marketing, communications and advertising spanning 20 years in the industries of Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Sports Administration and Local Government. His career commenced in sales, progressing into senior leadership engagements at leading commercial enterprises, including Fosters Group Limited, Guinness International and DJ Carmichael Pty Ltd.

    MR MICHAEL RICCI - CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (B.Bus CPA)

    Mr. Ricci joins Atlas having spent the last 11 years in the role of Chief Executive Officer for a variety of large private companies. Most notably Mr. Ricci has extensive understanding of the pearling industry having been Chief Executive Officer of the MG Kailis Group for 6 years, which included the Kailis Australian Pearls business. Mr. Ricci has also spent eighteen months with John Hardy Jewelry as an expat based in Indonesia.  Prior to that Mr. Ricci spent twenty-eight 28 years in CEO, COO and Finance roles across Australia and Asia.

    Mr. Ricci has a record of success in companies he has led and worked with. The Board is excited to welcome him to the team to lead the Company through the next phase.

    MR MARK LONGHURSTCHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

    Mark graduated as a Mechanical Engineer and gained experience in both mining and off shore oil and gas before starting up his own businesses in the WA marine industry.

    Mark then joined the WA pearling industry in 1994. Starting his pearling career as a ‘shell chipper’ on a cleaning boat Mark worked his way to becoming the CEO of WA’s oldest pearling company.

    Mark has hands on experience in every facet of pearling with a very successful leadership style. As the General Manager of MG Kailis' Broome Pearls, Mark led a team that re-engineered every stage of the pearling process, from hatchery to harvest, in order to achieve the perfect pearls within very tight cost constraints. The success of the reforms led to the launch of the Kailis Australian Pearls brand and retail networks in Australia and Europe.

    As the CEO of Morgan Pearls Mark applied the same business reforms and extended his pearling experience into wholesale and retail trading.

     

    MS DIANA KUBICKICHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (B.Com CPA)

    Ms Kubicki joined Atlas Pearls in March 2018 and is a qualified CPA with over 18 years’ professional accounting experience.

    Ms Kubicki initially commenced her career in the audit division of Ernst & Young before moving into various financial roles at ASX listed companies in the Mining and Oil & Gas Industries.

    Most recently Ms Kubicki spent three years at Macmahon Holdings Ltd which operates in the Mining Services Industry in Australia, Indonesia, Nigeria, Mongolia and Ghana.

    Prior to joining Atlas, Ms Kubicki spent 8 years on the Board of the Carers Association of Western Australia.

     

    MS KYM WEIR-SMITH - CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

    Ms Weir-Smith joined Atlas Pearls in January of 2013. With qualifications in Marketing and Design and more than 27 year’s experience across B2B and B2C industries, Kym specialises in delivering business objectives utilising innovative and integrated solutions.

    Initially working within advertising agencies Kym specialised in brand strategy and development before focusing on digital channel strategies and solutions.

    In late 2020 Kym played a key role in the design, development and implementation of the online trading platform and launch of the Atlas Pearls mobile app. The atlas digital platform has formed a strong foundation to springboard into the next phase of growth.

     

    MR TIM JONESPEARL WHOLESALE MANAGER

    Tim Jones has been working in the Cultured South Sea pearl industry since 2002. In that time he has been responsible for the valuation, sales and marketing of the annual harvests of three major pearl Producers. Based in Brisbane, Queensland, he oversees the distribution of the Atlas Pearls’ harvests through major auctions in Japan, as well as conducting regular private pearl transactions in Hong Kong, the U.S.A., Europe, Indonesia and Australia and New Zealand. Latterly he has also been involved in the development and growth of the Atlas Pearls Wholesale trade website.

    Prior to relocating to Australia in 2001, Tim worked for The Diamond Trading Company as a Sales Executive and as an Overseas Diamond Buyer prior to that.
