Differences in the shape of pearl studs can be subtle to the eye but forms one of the key points of difference for the finished look, grading, demand and therefore price.
Flat Buttons (BF) pearls are more readily available and a much loved shape. Appearing round from the front they sit flatter and more button in shape. Flat Button studs are available in 18K white or yellow gold as well as Sterling Silver.
